The 鈥淗ere For It鈥 brand campaign, running from now through the end of 2022, was a bold step to build awareness of local journalism and the unique value our publications provide their local communities. This campaign sparks conversation about our role in each city by showcasing our journalists, copywriting with bold declarations of our mission, and highlighting local storylines. Pilot markets for the campaign include Nashville, Tennessee (The Tennessean), Austin, Texas (Austin American-Statesman) and Phoenix, Arizona (azcentral.com | The Arizona Republic).
How would you describe this project in one word?
How did the idea for this project originate?
The phrase 鈥楬ere For It鈥 is used across social media to express enthusiasm and support. We took this colloquial phrase and leveraged it as our rallying cry for the campaign. Not only does the messaging platform tap into culture, but it also provides a platform for us to communicate our purpose and value, touching on all the ways local journalism helps create a better home.
What was your favorite part about working on the project?
Being on a team of all women (plus Juan, who is amazing) has been a surreal experience. I am surrounded by powerful and diverse women who have dominated the media industry. I look up to every person on my team and admire them for each unique quality they provide to our family. This team empowers me to work hard, hustle, and gives me the motivation to put my all into every project they give me.
